7月17日至20日，美国农业和生物工程学会（American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers，ASABE）2016国际年会在美国佛罗里达州奥兰多举行。应会务组邀请，水建学院何建强教授参加了本次会议，并作为受邀发言人（Invited Speaker）在“Crop Modeling and Decision Support for Optimizing Use of Limited Water”分会（Session Number：242）作了题为“Parameter Estimation and Verification of DSSAT-CERES-Wheat Model for Simulation of Growth and Development of Winter Wheat under Water Stresses at Different Growth Stages”的学术报告。

　　会议期间，何建强教授还与Gerrit Hoogenboom （University of Florida）、Garry Feng （USDA-ARS，Genetic and Sustainable Agricultural Research Unit）、Kelly Thorp（USDA-ARS，U.S. Arid-Land Agricultural Research Center）、Isaya Kisekka （Kansas State University）、齐志明（McGill University）等学者和教授进行了广泛交流，达成了在农业水土工程领域开展进一步合作交流的意向。
